Axe Adventures Direct Bookings Cancellation Policy

At Axe Adventures, we understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate your needs to the best of our abilities. However, cancellations and changes to your travel arrangements can affect not only your experience but also the arrangements made for other travelers. To ensure fairness and maintain the quality of our services, we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. Cancellation Periods:

1.1. Individual Bookings:
– Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the departure date: A full refund will be provided, minus any non-refundable fees or charges incurred during the booking process.
– Cancellations made 15 to 30 days prior to the departure date: A refund of 50% of the total booking amount will be provided, minus any non-refundable fees or charges.
– Cancellations made within 14 days of the departure date: No refund will be provided.

1.2. Group Bookings (10 or more travelers):
– Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the departure date: A full refund will be provided, minus any non-refundable fees or charges.
– Cancellations made 30 to 60 days prior to the departure date: A refund of 50% of the total booking amount will be provided, minus any non-refundable fees or charges.
– Cancellations made within 29 days of the departure date: No refund will be provided.

2. Refund Process:
– Refunds will be processed using the original payment method used for the booking.
– Processing time for refunds may vary depending on the payment method and financial institutions involved. We will make every effort to expedite the process.

3. Non-Refundable Deposits and Fees:
– Some bookings, especially those involving airline tickets, cruise reservations, or special events, may require non-refundable deposits or fees and are subject to the respective service provider’s terms and conditions.

4. Partial Cancellations:
– For bookings involving multiple components (e.g., flights, accommodations, activities), cancellations of individual components may result in partial refunds according to the cancellation policy of each specific service provider.

3. No Shows:
– In the event of a no-show, no refund will be provided.

4. Changes and Modifications:
– Changes to travel dates, itineraries, or other booking details may be subject to availability and additional fees. Any changes requested must be made in writing and approved by Axe Adventures.

5. SGR Booking Changes:
5.1. Any changes to your SGR Train booking, whether for cancellation or rescheduling, must be communicated to Axe Adventures at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel time. This allows us to facilitate the necessary changes and provide assistance promptly.

5.2. In the event that you need to cancel your SGR Train booking, a cancellation fee will be applied based on the total ticket cost:
– SGR will deduct 30% of the total ticket cost as a cancellation fee.
– The remaining amount will be refunded to you.

5.3. If you wish to reschedule your SGR Train booking for a different date or time, a rescheduling fee will be applicable:
– SGR will deduct 10% of the total ticket cost as a rescheduling fee.
– You will be responsible for any difference in fare between the original booking and the new booking, if applicable.

5.4. To facilitate changes to your SGR Train booking, Axe Adventures will charge a fee of Kshs 500 per booking. This fee covers administrative and processing costs associated with making the requested changes.

5.5. If you are eligible for a refund due to cancellation, the refunded amount will be processed within 21 business days from the date of the cancellation request.

5.6. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used for the original booking.

6. Force Majeure:
– In the event of circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseen events, Axe Adventures reserves the right to modify or cancel travel arrangements. In such cases, our team will make every effort to provide suitable alternatives or issue applicable refunds.

7. Travel Insurance:
– We strongly recommend that all travelers secure comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected events that may lead to cancellations or disruptions.

8. Communication:
– All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email or through our official communication channels. Verbal cancellations will not be considered valid.
